I finally got my hands on Zenkyu’s improved Premium Blend, and it’s such a treat! This bright neon green matcha doesn’t hold back, with a flavor that’s bold yet balanced. 🍵
🌸 Fragrance: Aromatic, nutty, creamy, vegetal, with a soft white chocolate hint 🤍
🍬 Flavor: Sweet, umami-rich, and creamy, with way less bitterness than the old version. There’s still some astringency, but honestly, it works! The sharp, slightly chalky texture feels like its signature.
🫧 Foam: My most micro-foam ever—so satisfying to whisk!

I love the New Premium Blend! This is my first matcha from their brand and I really liked this one as it is very umami, a bit vegetal, and not too bitter. Perfectly balanced. It’s very refreshing drinking it as usucha, even without ice or sweetener.
The new blend is more superior than the old version. It's more creamy, better umami, brighter shade of green and it's less bitter compared to the previous version.
