Good matcha deserves to be treated well. Here are the questions we hear most often.
Our matcha is stone-ground at just 40 grams an hour. That kind of care deserves the same in return.
1. How should I store matcha after opening?
One common mistake: transferring the entire contents into a tin at once. More air, more oxidation. Keep the bulk sealed, and refill your daily container only when needed.

2. Can I keep matcha in the fridge?
Yes — but with care.
The fridge preserves freshness, but opening cold matcha immediately causes condensation. Moisture is as damaging as air. Always allow matcha to reach room temperature before opening.
The fridge also absorbs odors. Store matcha in a sealed container, away from strong-smelling foods. Matcha picks up its surroundings more easily than you might expect.

3. What about freezing?
Freezing is one of the most effective ways to extend the life of matcha. Use an airtight, moisture-proof container. The same rule applies: always return it to room temperature before opening.

4. What's the best container?
Airtight. Lightproof. Small. Traditional Japanese tea caddies were made for exactly this purpose. The Zenkyu Tin is also a practical choice for everyday use.

5. How long does matcha last once opened?
Aim to finish within 1–2 months. Matcha does not spoil suddenly — but the flavor quietly fades. The sooner it is enjoyed, the better.
Matcha this carefully made deserves to be stored — and savored — with the same intention.
